Lotus Restaurant
a Phuket Classic on Bang Tao Beach, Phuket

 This beach restaurant will place you within ten meters of the Andaman Sea at high tide.  Great views of Phuket's coastline enhance an excellent menu, great food with good prices.  If you wish an evening meal here, for the great sunsets, get there early or call for a reservation.  The restaurant is popular with Phuket's tour groups so it can get very crowded and often the best tables are booked before you can get there.

A favorite here: the batter fried shrimp and Penang Chicken.  Consistently some of the best on the island.

Drive all the way through the Laguna Resorts and turn left at the T-junction just after the Banyan Tree Resort.  Follow the road for about 80 meters (a jog to the right and then to the left) and you're there. 

Located right on Bang Tao beach, you can also easily walk there from any of the hotels along Bang Tao Beach.  In fact, it is probably easier to walk from most areas.

Take a nice stroll down Bang Tao Beach after your meal, the far south end has a fishing village - and in the day time a fresh fish market.
