Layan Beach Restaurant:

An excellent restaurant sitting on the north end of Bang Tao Beach, Phuket

A great new restaurant has opened on this part of the beach.  Called "Layan Beach Restaurant" - the Penang Gai (Penang chicken) is great.  Try also the Yam Won Sun salad (spicy noodle and pork salad) - and just about any fried rice dish. 

The owner of this restaurant has been at this location for years and has been very patient waiting for the customers to come to him.  His new building is only about 30 meters away from his house and previous restaurant - an authentic Thai mat house.  As this area develops he has a premium location - just across from the six-star ShangriLa.  We are all glad he stayed and waited.

The views from the restaurant are wonderful.  This part of Bang Tao Beach (the northern part of Bang Tao Beach is sometimes called Layan Beach) is beautiful.  Certain times of the year you can find sand dollars on the beach.  It is a very quiet stretch of beach early in the morning if you enjoy quiet beach walks - this is the place to go.

Layan Beach is a favorite of people who live here.  It is quiet, beautiful and all you could ask for.
